The Silent Auction
In 2006 we introduced a new event, the Silent Auction. Items and offerings to be auctioned are available and all you have to do is write your name and phone number with the amount you are bidding on a list of bidders for an item you are interested in.
The winning bid is notified at the end of the Fete and should be paid for as soon as possible.
Items this year include a weeks luxury holiday villa for 8 in Orlando, the winner will be able to purchase an extra week for a reasonable cost from the donor Abacus Lettings and Property Management.
This year we also have a weeks holiday at a villa for 6 in Turkey. See the pictures and description below.
Oasis is a brand new complex finished at the end of 2007) of around 80 2-bedroomed apartments, in 6 4-storey buildings. Between the buildings and around the complex is an unusual amount of space with mature trees, flower beds and lawns. There’s a large pool surrounded by (free) sun loungers and a separate children’s splash pool. There’s also an indoor pool - ideal for the cooler winter months and also to cool down out of the sun in high summer – and an indoor, air-conditioned gym. On the ground floor of one of the buildings is a café/ bar, children’s play area, pool table and table tennis table. There’s a floodlit tennis court too, and free wi-fi internet access is available throughout the complex.
Our apartment is at garden level at the back of the complex with a large enclosed terrace looking out onto open land. There’s a gate from the terrace opening onto a secluded grassed area of the complex.
The apartment is built and equipped to a very high standard
and sleeps up to 6 adults plus a baby (in a travel cot). We also provide a
highchair and a group 0+ Britax car seat.
There are 2 bedrooms each with twin beds, wardrobe, and drawer units. One of the
bedrooms has en-suite (shower, toilet and washbasin) and a small balcony looking
out onto open land.
The main bathroom has a corner jacuzzi bath as well as
shower, toilet and washbasin in a vanity unit.
In the lounge area are 2 sofas, both of which convert into beds. There’s also
a TV (with UK, German, and French satellite channels) plus a
Between the kitchen and lounge areas is
a large table, comfortably seating 6. Along a long wall of this main room
are patio doors opening onto the terrace which is equipped with table, 6 chairs
& 4 sun loungers. The main room and both bedrooms have air conditioner /
heating units.
You also have access to the roof terraces with views over the Taurus mountains
and Sorgun forest.
